Magazine Front Cover Analysis

As you can see the preliminary layout of the magazines is all very similar, using the masthead set behind the main image as well as using the lead article and placing it central too the page. The cover lines are offset from the main image allowing the reader after being enticed too draw their eye towards the other detail of the magazine. Overall there is a clear basic layout of the cover of each magazine, the differences come with things like colour, font, style of writing, as well as the style of the image taken.

Magazine Contents Page Analysis

Overall you can see there minor differences in the magazines contents pages but as a whole the layout is very similar and they all use the same basic principles. They all have the heading that it is a contents page as well as the main features of the magazine with the corresponding page numbers. They all also have the date of the issue, but there are the minor differences too with I suppose are preferences to what magazine your reading and what audience they are targeted at. Mojo is very clean with just the one picture making up the background as well as the clean cut text showing the main features, the other two are almost cultured with information, appealing to the younger target audience as they feel they want the most for their money.

Im happy with my overall finished product, I feel i have got a very good house style to the magazine. If i was going to change anything i guess i could have used the masterhead font for my contents page and possibly play around with the text having bigger bolder fonts to catch the eye, but i feel the layout of my magazine is very balanced and well put together.
